3 killed including 2 young children following head-on collision in Shawano County

Shawano County, WIS. (CBS 58) -- Three people are dead including two young children following a head-on collision in Shawano County. 

The crash occurred on Friday around 9:30 p.m.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol,  A Dodge minivan was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane of STH-29.

The Dodge struck a westbound Chrysler minivan head-on. The Driver of the Dodge, a 38-year-old man, was the lone occupant in the vehicle and was fatally injured.

There were six occupants in the Chrysler. A 9-year-old and a 7-year-old were killed in the accident. A 34-year-old woman, a 10-year-old female, an 8-year-old female, and a 10-year-old female all from Manitowoc were injured. They were all wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation.
