3 arrested in Racine County ATV, trailer theft

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) – Three people were arrested early Friday morning in Racine County.

According to police, during a traffic stop near Interstate 41 and Highway K, an officer became suspicious of the occupants in the truck. The vehicle had one ATV in the bed of the truck and the was pulling a trailer carrying another ATV.

Authorities noticed a pair of bolt cutters inside the truck.

After an interview, it was determined the ATVs were stolen from the Town of Raymond. The trailer was stolen from another location.

Three people were arrested for felony theft and possession of burglarious tools. The driver, who was a step-father of a 15-year-old suspect, is being charged with contributing to delinquency of a child.

The 15-year-old was referred to juvenile authorities and released to his mother.
