3 arrested in connection to homicide of 31-year-old man in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police announced three people have been arrested in connection to the homicide of a 31-year-old man in Racine. 

According to the Racine Police Department on Friday, Feb. 11, with help of other agencies and several investigative tools, they arrested: 

  • Johnathon Martinez, 25, of Gurnee, Illinois
    • First degree intentional homicide
    • Attempted armed robbery with use of force 
  • Christopher Martinez, 23, of Waukegan, Illinois 
    • First degree intentional homicide 
    • Attempted armed robbery with use of force 
  • Moises Gonzalez, 28, of Racine, Wisconsin 
    • Attempted armed robbery with use of force 
    • Possession of THC with intent to deliver 

Police say on Oct. 4, 2021, James Hamilton was found inside a residence on Monroe Avenue in Racine, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
