3 arrested after MCSO deputies locate drugs, machine gun in car with 7 minor children inside
MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three people were arrested in an incident that started at Grant Park Beach on Tuesday evening, June 20.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, just after 5:20 p.m., deputies were notified a victim of a vehicle theft spotted her stolen vehicle in the Grant Park Beach parking lot. The MCSO says, the victim observed two men get out of the vehicle and ride off in another car driven by a 32-year-old woman.
The stolen vehicle was recovered, and deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop alongside the Cudahy Police Department, of the second vehicle driven by the 32-year-old woman.
The sheriff's office says, seven children -- ages 2-15 -- were in the vehicle, along with a substance that appeared to be drugs, and a semi-automatic pistol equipped with a full auto conversion switch -- AKA a "machine gun."
The children were turned over to a responsible adult and the three adults in the vehicle -- a 22-year-old and 35-year-old man and 32-year-old woman -- were arrested and booked on multiple charges including possession of a machine gun, possession with intent - cocaine, felon in possession of a firearm, operating an automobile without owner's consent, and two misdemeanor warrants of operating after revocation and operating while intoxicated.
