OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Salvation Army in Oak Creek held a Thanksgiving dinner for seniors on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
"They're serving everything, from turkey, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, rolls, you name it," said Robin Moga, guest.
That is just a bit of the menu served tonight. This is the first community dinner the organization is serving in their new senior center.
250 local seniors were invited.
Those seniors could also bring along some of their family and friends for a chance to have their Thanksgiving meal, even if they don't have space for it at home.
Salvation Army's goal is to make sure those seniors have somewhere safe, warm and inviting to celebrate.
