2.5 magnitude earthquake hits Crandon

CRANDON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to the Forest County Sheriff's Office, they received many calls about abnormally excessive shaking and vibration coming from the ground. It has been reported that a 2.5 magnitude earthquake hit the Crandon area around 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7.
Information on the USGS (United States Geological Survey) states that a 2.5 magnitude earthquake hit about 2.5 miles Northeast of Mole Lake, WI.
No report of damage or injuries has been released at this time. Stay tuned to CBS 58 as we get more details.
