23 Vehicles Go Into Ditches in Washington County Sheriff's Office
Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 23 vehicles in the ditch during Tuesday morning.
Between the hours of 5 a.m. and 1 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to 23 vehicles in the ditch, 8 property damage accidents and 2 minor injury accidents.
According to Sheriff’s Office, roads were mostly bare until drivers reached an area where the wind carried the snow across the road.
One such area was US 45 and Sherman Rd.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to numerous vehicles in the ditch and minor accidents during a 45 minute time frame on that stretch of US 45.
Three separate cars spun out and struck the overpass or guardrail within 3 minutes of each other with an additional 4 or 5 cars going into the ditch.
The bad stretch covered no more than 300-400 feet.
