21 year-old man dies in Tuesday night's accident in Burlington

A fatal accident occurred at the intersection of STH 36 bypass and Pine Street in the Town of Burlington at 6:51 PM.

The initial calls stated that one vehicle was flipped over and one vehicle was possibly on fire.

Racine County Sheriff Office’s Deputies and fire/rescue personnel confirmed that one of the vehicle drivers, a Tyler Brott had perished in the accident.

Brott was a 21 year old resident of the Town of Burlington.  

The second vehicle operator, a 55 year old man was transported by rescue away from the scene and then flighted to Froedtert Hospital for his injuries.

This driver was David Henning a resident of the Town of Burlington.  

The intersection was closed for approximately 5 hours due to this accident.

Initial investigation shows that speed and failure to obey a traffic signal maybe contributing factors in this accident. The accident remains under investigation.
