20-year-old man fatally shot in Delavan; several cars seen fleeing crime scene

DELAVAN, Wis. (CBS 58) --- A 20-year-old man was fatally shot in Delavan Sunday, Dec. 13.

Police say it happened around 9 p.m. at 820 Parish Court, building 1.

911 callers reported gunshots being fired and that several cars were fleeing the scene prior to police arrival.

According to officials, officers arrived on scene and located Alejandro Gonzalez, 20, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.

There are currently no suspects in custody and the incident remains under active investigation.

City of Delavan Police are seeking witnesses and surveillance video footage related to the incident. Police are asking those who live in the area to review their exterior camera footage for any cars leaving the area or unusual activity.
