20,000 Pounds of Salt Arrive in the Port of Milwaukee
In order to keep the roads safe DPW said they have been working around the clock to drop salt on the streets.
A new shipment arrived on Monday.
20,000 pounds of salt arrived in the Port of Milwaukee.
It was shipped in from Canada to help replenish the city's stockpile after the weekend storm.
Most of the salt will be used for treating roads.
Some of it will be packaged and sold.
The port of Milwaukee gets in about a million tons of salt each year.
