The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the death of a 2-year-old female that occurred Friday night at 7:30 PM in the 5100 Block of N 76th St.

The child was found unresponsive after a nap by her mother, CPR was attempted by neighbors prior to the arrival of the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Life saving measures were unsuccessful and the child died on scene.

Police investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing.

According to the Medical Examiner's office an autopsy was completed Saturday. The results of that autopsy will be released within the next few days.
