2 squads struck by gunfire during police pursuit, Milwaukee men charged
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee men were charged in connection with a police pursuit and shooting that happened early Friday, Oct. 6.
Police said just after 2:30 a.m., officers were responding to reports of shots fired on the city's north side near the Franklin Heights neighborhood. When police arrived on the scene, they saw a Chevy Tahoe driving recklessly. They attempted to stop the car, but the driver ignored the officer's commands. That’s when the chase ensued.
According to a criminal complaint, while the pursuit went into an alley, an officer saw the back windshield of the Tahoe shatter and could see muzzle flashes coming from inside the vehicle.
