2 people injured in separate overnight stabbing incidents

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate stabbing incidents that took place early Friday morning, Jan. 7.

The first happened around 1:06 a.m. near 11th and Finn Pl.

A 45-year-old female from Milwaukee, suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to a local hospital where she is expected to survive. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing appear to be drug related. Milwaukee police are looking for an unknown suspect in relation to the stabbing.

Police are investigating a second stabbing that happened around 2:45 a.m. near 6th and Vine St. 

A 32-year-old man from Milwaukee suffered a deep laceration and was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to survive. The stabbing is domestic violence related. Milwaukee Police are seeking a known suspect in relation to the stabbing.

The stabbings do not appear to be related.
