2 dead in separate overnight shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people are dead in separate overnight shootings in Milwaukee.

The first shooting happened around 9:36 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022 near 28th and Melvina.

According to police, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man sustained multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries on scene. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assist with the investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation and Milwaukee police are seeking unknown suspect(s) at this time. 

Milwaukee Police are investigating a second fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022 at approximately 11:25 p.m. near 67th and Ruby Ave.
