MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two men are being charged in an alleged sexual assault that occurred at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee residence hall on E. Kenilworth Place.

Twenty-three-year-old Brendan Hoover, and 22-year-old Heaven'L Parker are each facing one count of second-degree sexual assault.

According to the criminal complaint, a UWM police officer received a report of the assault on Sunday, Feb. 4. The victim stated that on Friday, Feb. 2, she left work and went to Landmark Lanes with plans to meet a friend there.

She recalled sitting next to Hoover, and recalled drinking with Hoover at the bar, according to the complaint. The victim recalled having another shot with Hoover and stated that was the last thing she remembered until waking up in a bedroom on Saturday, Feb. 3. She stated that Hoover and another male, identified as Parker, were in the room. She said that she had not seen Parker before, according to the complaint.

The victim stated that Hoover told her that she was involved in a fight around 2:30 a.m. outside of Landmark Lanes. She said that Hoover told her that she was struck several times in the face, and that Hoover and Parker broke up the fight. They said she was unconscious, and an ambulance was called but the three of them left before it arrived. She observed a black eye and a bruised lip in the mirror.

The victim said she did not give consent and did not remember having sexual intercourse.

Investigators obtained surveillance video from Landmark Lanes. According to the complaint, video depicts Hoover, Parker, and the victim outside the bar and a group of individuals several feet away were gathered. The video depicts an unknown female coming forward to the victim in an aggressive manner and the two begin to fight.

Video shows the victim was punched by the unknown female until she is unconscious. Hoover and Parker are standing close by and do not intervene. Once the group of individuals and the unknown female leave, Hoover and Parker continue to stand as the victim lays unconscious, but they do not render any aid to her.

When interviewed by authorities, Hoover stated that he and the victim had sexual intercourse, but claimed it was consensual. He said that he left the room while Parker had sex with the victim. Hoover said he stayed up the rest of the night because he did not trust Parker alone in his room because he was a stranger to him and just met him that night.

Parker did not make any statement.

Records show Hoover and Parker had court appearances on Saturday, Feb. 10. They both have preliminary hearings scheduled for Monday, Feb. 19.
