NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) — A man and a woman were taken into custody Thursday after a vehicle pursuit that began in Greenfield and ended in New Berlin.

According to the New Berlin Police Department, the pursuit began shortly after 10:15 a.m. when the Greenfield Police Department was chasing a vehicle for reckless driving.

A New Berlin officer located the vehicle near Moorland Road and College Avenue. Police said the vehicle left the roadway before coming to a stop in a grassy area near a business on Small Road.

The female passenger was taken into custody without incident, while the driver fled on foot.

Police said the driver was located and arrested shortly before 5 p.m. near Armour Avenue and Oakwood Terrace.

Authorities said the suspect had outstanding felony warrants and was booked into the Waukesha County Jail.
