$2,000 Reward offered for information on dog burning

MILWAUKEE -- Animal Fairy Charities announced they are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who burned Beatrice the dog.

The dog was stolen from her yard near 32nd and Wells on march 13th. A Potowatomi casino found the small dog 11 days after she went missing. The dog had burns over 90% of it's body.

Workers at MADACC used the microchip implanted in the dog to find her owner.

Beatrice the dog was in intensive care for six days at the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals.

Her hair will probably never grow back, leaving her susceptible to infection.

\"She will never be normal,\" owner Karen Smith Burns tells CBS 58 News. \"She'll never look the same, she'll never have the same body. She'll always need special care from now on.\"

Beatrice was taken back to the Emergency Center for Animals in Greenfield on April 9, 2014. The owner says the dog is dehydrated and weak, and will need to stay at the center for a while.

Anyone with information is asked to call Milwaukee Police at District 3.
