19-Year-Old Arrested for Burglary Steps away from Crime

A burglary suspect didn’t get far as two officers from Milwaukee Police District Four arrested him just steps away from the crime scene. The officers responded to a business in the 9000 block of West Appleton Avenue around 5:40 AM on April 19 for a report of a burglary.

When Officers arrived on scene, they saw the suspect running away from the building. The officers caught up to the 19-year-old Milwaukee man and arrested him.

Officers also found a crowbar near the store’s exit that the suspect was believed to have used to break into the business.

The suspect faces charges of burglary armed with a dangerous weapon, resisting an officer, and possession of burglarious tools. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
