18th annual Great Lakes Pet Expo returns to State Fairgrounds after 2-year hiatus

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Humane Society is one of many animal shelters and rescues that will have a booth at the Great Lakes Pet Expo this Saturday.

The expo is returning to the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds after a two-year hiatus during the pandemic.

It's the perfect place for pet lovers to shop for their current pets or find a new family member to adopt.

"We draw vendors from the Midwest. It's quite wide so they can find things at the expo they wouldn't find anywhere else," said Beth Enneking, the executive director of AWARE.

AWARE, which stands for "Adoption, Wellness, Advocacy, Rescue, and Education" puts on the expo in order to help animals find a good home.

You can also meet vendors to learn about services in your area and enjoy the reptile education area and dog agility training demonstrations.

You can purchase tickets to the event here.
