ELKHORN, Wis. (CBS 58 News) -- Walworth County may be one of the last county fairs of the season. It opened Wednesday, Aug. 30 with bull riding and a rodeo.

"It was our largest Wednesday attendance over the last, at least, 10 years," said Jake Polyock, the vice president for the Walworth County Fair board of directors.

The Walworth County fair will be open through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, and it'll bring all things farming to visitors -- from fish to cattle. New this year is the milk house, attached to the Milk Parlor. People are invited to come take a tour and look around.

"Ag education -- That's what this whole fair is about," said Polyock. "Really trying to connect people with ag, because it's not so easy to do anymore. We try to bring it back to the basics of people interacting with animals."

On Saturday, combine rides will take place Saturday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Plus, enjoy Walworth County's famous cinnamon rolls and take advantage of all the family friendly activities in the Barnyard Adventure area. There will also be nightly entertainment.
