17-Year-Old Girl Shot Saturday Night during Fight

Saturday, June 25 at about 8:00 PM, Milwaukee Police were called to the scene of a non-fatal shooting at 2000 North 39th Street. A 17-year-old girl was involved in a dispute with other neighborhood girls.
The dispute escalated into a physical fight between a small group of people. During the fight, someone pulled a gun and shot the 17-year-old.
The victim was transported to the hospital and is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury.
MPD continues to search for a suspect in the shooting.
