MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 17-year-old is dead following a shooting near Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
It happened just before midnight on Saturday, Aug. 14.
The teen, who police say was a student in the Madison School District, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries Sunday morning.
The scene of the shooting is a neighborhood of houses filled with UW-Madison students who were moving in over the weekend.
"We heard the gunshots go off and when I heard them I could hear the whizzing. I felt pretty exposed sitting in the front seat of a truck," said Max Schilling, UW-Madison student.
Witnesses say around 100 people were on Lathrop Street when the gunshots rang out.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
