16-Year-old cited after rollover crash

SHEBOYGAN-- A 16-year-old girl is cited after causing a rollover crash on the highway.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office responded to a single car rollover crash on I-43 at State Highway 23 shortly before 12:00 p.m. Saturday after receiving numerous 911 calls.

Officials said that 16-year-old Davina Boykin was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier on the on ramp to I-43 from westbound STH 23.

Boykin failed to make the turn on the ramp and traveled through the gore between two on ramps.

She traveled across the median and landed on the roof in the northbound lane of I-43.

Boykin was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

She was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

She was alone in the vehicle.

I-43 northbound lanes were closed for about an hour.
