15-year-old boys riding e-scooter struck by driver in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two 15-year-old boys were injured when police say they were riding an e-scooter and struck by a vehicle. 

It happened Tuesday evening, May 30, near Sherman Boulevard and Lisbon Avenue -- near the Milwaukee Public Library Washington Park Branch.

According to police, the teens on the e-scooter disregarded a red light and were struck by a vehicle. 

The driver of the e-scooter was transported to local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. The passenger of the e-scooter was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
