MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's City Hall rotunda was decked out in streamers and balloons on Wednesday, March 20.

It was the 14th annual Girls Day at City Hall event. Girls from middle school to high school age were invited and they heard from a variety of women in leadership roles in the city.

This event was created by Alderwoman Milele Coggs to expose young girls to potential careers in public service and elected office.

More than 200 girls signed up for the event, which included two panel discussions, lunch, and the presentation of the Vel. R Phillips trailblazer award.
