14 Arrested for DUI in Milwaukee Including 9th Time Offender
This weekend’s Operation Drive Sober initiative, from Friday at 4:00 PM through Sunday at 6:00 AM, resulted in the arrest of 14 drunken drivers. The average PBT result was .15.
Deputies arrested three repeat offenders. Russell Starzman, 54-years-old, of West Allis, was arrested for his 9th DUI offense. Starzman was arrested after deputies responded to a call about a reckless driver on I-41 to I-94 westbound on Saturday shortly after 4:00 PM. The caller indicated the driver exited at Highway 100, and deputies arrested Starzman outside his home near 104th and Greenfield Avenue. His PBT was .29. Records show Starzman's drunken driving convictions for 5th offense in February 1999, 6th and 7th in February 2004, and 8th in 2006.
Nicholas Russell, 28-years-old, of Milwaukee was arrested for 2nd DUI offense, causing injury and being armed. Sunday morning at 2:20 AM, deputies responded to a crash on the I-94 off ramp to north Hawley Road. A Toyota Corolla, driven by Russell went through a red light and struck a Dodge van that was exiting the off ramp. The 55-year-old driver of the van suffered a laceration to her head and a possible broken arm and was transported to the hospital. Russell tested a .24 on the PBT and was arrested.
Martin Arvizu, 30-years-old, of Milwaukee, was also arrested for 2nd offense DUI.
First-time offenders were Benjamin Marjamma, age 44, of Colgate; David Wagner, age 30, of Sheboygan; Nicolas Badertscher, age 24, of Eau Claire; Elena Martinez, age 23, of Racine; West Allis residents Justin Lee, age 26, and Jacob Mahler, age 22; and Milwaukee residents Camille Mcbee, age 27, David Spoon, age 37, Caldonia McCurry, age 33, Marcus Walker, age 30, and Bradley Fuchs, age 23.
