MILWUAKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police is investigating the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old on Wednesday, July 16 around 8:10 p.m. 

The incident occurred near W. Vilet and 31st St. According to police, the suspect was mishandling a firearm and unintentionally shot the 13-year-old victim. 

The 13-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The incident is under investigation and Milwaukee police aren't looking for additional suspects at this time.
