13-Year-old Racine boy charged with attempted homicide

RACINE -- 13-year-old Jamal Williams is charged with Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide for allegedly stabbing an 11-year-old girl three times in a Pick 'N Save parking lot on September 8.


According to the criminal complaint, the 11-year-old victim and her friends were walking home from school when they were approached by Williams and his friend. The victim alleges Williams asked, \"You messing with my girlfriend?\" just before he started punching her several times. The victim says she didn't notice she had been stabbed until she saw the knife in Williams hand. The victim's mother transported her to the hospital following this stabbing. The criminal complaint says the victim got stitches to her upper left arm, left forearm,  and upper left chest cavity.


Investigators spoke with the victim's friend, Williams, and his friend who all say the incident began with a verbal argument at a Pick 'N Save parking lot. Witnesses say the victim and Williams agreed to fight. The criminal complaint says the witnesses allege Williams stabbed the 11-year-old victim three times during this fight.
