MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police say a 10-year-old girl was hit by a school bus while crossing the street Thursday morning.
Authorities say the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near 27th and Fond Du Lac.
The girl was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A spokesperson for Milwaukee Public Schools says no children on the bus were hurt.
People who live in the area said people drive recklessly around that intersection.
"It's dangerous out here," Resident Charles Cotton said. "To me, I look at this intersection here as a highway because I've seen kids get hit."
Police say an investigation into the crash is on-going.
