10-Month-Old Twins Found Safe After Auto Theft and Abduction

An auto theft turned into a search to twin 10-month-old toddlers Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee.  According to the Milwaukee Police Department,  the children were in a 2013 grey Dodge Journey when it was taken from in front of a home near N 49th Street and W Concordia Avenue around 3 PM today.   The Police report that the 33-year-old woman parked the vehicle on the street and left it running as she went into a house.   During the brief period time she was inside the house, someone took the vehicle with her 10-month-old son and daughter inside.   An hour later the vehicle was found by a witness about a mile-and-a-half way in an alley near N 40th Street and W North Avenue.  When found, the Police report the children found unharmed in the vehicle.  As a precaution they were taken to a local hospital to be checked out.   The MPD is continuing to investigate this case of auto theft and abduction.  They ask that anyone with information about the case to call the MPD Sensitive Crimes Division at 414-935-7405.
