MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One of the two men charged in connection to a crash that resulted in the death of two people was back in court on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
James Malone has posted his bail, but as of late afternoon on Tuesday he remains in jail.
According to the criminal complaint, Malone was recklessly driving, traveling at speeds more than 100 mph near 60th and Hampton in Milwaukee on Aug. 7. While making a turn, he struck another vehicle, killing two people. The two men who were killed were Jerrold Wellinger and Devante Gaines.
Malone faces first degree homicide charges.
James Hinton, the second man charged in the deadly street racing crash, has a status conference on Sept. 29.
