1 dead, 6-year-old child hurt among others, in separate Milwaukee shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating four separate shootings on Sept. 6, that left one person dead and three others injured -- including a 6-year-old girl.

The homicide victim is a 64-year-old Milwaukee man. Police say he died from a stab wound from an unknown sharp object. It happened near 76th and Nash around 7:26 p.m.

The man was found dead when police arrived. The man's death is believed to be the result of an argument, and police have a suspect in custody.

A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was injured in a shooting near 19th and Grant St around 3:14 p.m. He was transported to a local hospital. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects at this time.  

Milwaukee police are also investigating a shooting that occurred around 3:40 p.m., at the 19th and Hampton Avenue. A 6-year-old Milwaukee girl, sustained a non-life threatening injury. She was driven to a local hospital.  The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee police continue to seek a known suspect at this time.

A third shooting left a 24-year-old Milwaukee man injured. It happened near 39th and Center around 7:26 p.m. The victim presented himself at a local hospital. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee police continue to seek an unknown suspect.
