$1,000 Reward offered for information leading to Kathryn Stalbaum

WAUKESHA COUNTY — The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department released information about the location of the bike they found that belongs to the missing Kathryn Stalbaum.

15-year-old Kathryn Stalbaum was last seen Tuesday morning around 6:15 a.m. She missed the bus for school and sent a text message to a friend saying that she would ride her bike, but she never showed up at school.

\"We don't know what happened to Kathryn,\" said Waukesha County Sheriff's Department Inspector Eric Severson.  \"I don't know if she's left voluntarily.  I don't know if she's left against her will.  I don't know.\"

On November 7th, investigators found Stalbaum's bicycle across the street from Waukesha Memorial Hospital. We're told the bike didn't show any immediate signs of foul play, but await test results for more answers.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is asking viewers to download a picture of Kathryn Stalbaum to their mobile devices. They've posted the picture on their facebook page.

Law enforcement searched the area around Stalbaum's school, home, and the route she might have taken to school on November 5th. Dive teams have also searched retention ponds in the area.

Kathryn is a freshman at Kettle Moraine High School. She is about 5’7” weighing 120 pounds and has long brown hair and blue eyes. She has braces and wears contacts. She was last seen wearing jeans, a sweatshirt and bright pink Nike tennis shoes. She was riding a teal bike and carrying a teal backpack.

The sheriff's department is also asking small business owners to review their surveillance video if they are near Stalbaum's route to school.

CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who gives information on Kathryn's location.
