Brookfield Central students and staff walk for Harvey victims

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) – Students and staff at Brookfield High School are helping Harvey flood victims.

Students were asked to pledge donations and walked around the streets around the school to show support for people in Texas.

“This community, they respond time and time again to any cause we approach them with, and the support they have for charitable donations is outstanding,” says Brookfield Central High School teacher Ronn Blaha.

Students and staff also wore green, the color honoring victims of natural disasters. The school hopes to raise $10,000. All of that will be donated to the J.J. Watt Foundation’s Harvey Relief fund.
