Teach kids how to stand up to bullying

The kids at Country Dale Elementary spent the morning learning about how to stand up to bullying in an assembly.

Autistic students have the highest risk of being bullied because young children may not understand why they're not communicating back, or as quickly. Their risk is four times as great.

The goal is for students to take away three things about how to take action. They emphasized--stand next to someone being bullied, speak up for them, and report it to a trusted adult.
