Zachary Hays Bound Over for Trial

The West Allis man charged in a fatal shooting on the interstate near the Wisconsin Dells is pleading not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to murder charges. 

Zachary Hays was also bound over for trial during a court appearance this morning in Sauk County. 

Hays is accused of shooting at a car on the freeway and killing a 44-year-old mother from Illinois. 

Hays is also charged with shooting and killing his neighbor in West Allis earlier in the day.

He'll be arraigned in that case in Milwaukee next month.
