Youth football team's equipment stolen

RACINE - A traveling youth football team has had it's equipment trailer stolen recently. The Racine Gladiators keep their equipment trailer parked at Haben Park in Racine County next to their practice field. It was there on Sunday when they left practice, but it was missing when they returned on Tuesday.  Including the trailer, the team lost about 8-thousand dollars worth of equipment.  The trailer stored the team's tackling dummies, pads and other equipment. Without those items, it's making it difficult for the Gladiators to practice for the upcoming Midwest National Youth Football tournament in Cleveland, Ohio Thanksgiving weekend.  The team plans to play in the tournament despite the loss of their equipment. The trailer is black and 16 feet long with no markings on the side. If you have any information you're urged to contact Racine County Dispatch at 262-886-2300.
