MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summerfest means music but also plenty of merchandise.
Anna Villareal is the owner of "Ever Fluorescent." She sells black-light reactive paintings, clothing, and more. If you'd like to see more products from Ever Fluorescent, CLICK HERE.
Anna is one of about twelve vendors showcased as part of the "Shop Local Market" initiative new to Summerfest this year. Grant funding through BMO EMpower's program enables these minority-owned businesses to show off their wares during the music festival. These selected owners received up to $3500 in financial assistance.
Another vendor we highlighted is Vicentia. Their business model is all about sustainable clothing and highlighting women empowerment. Each garment has a QR code with an individual story.
