MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The YMCA of Metro Milwaukee is encouraging people to lead an active lifestyle.
The Y kicked off its "Let's Move!" summit at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. The goal is bringing together organizations that want to see children and their families get outside and move more.
"As young people are not exposed to outdoor recreation often times, they're caught watching television or they're tied to their devices so this is truly encouraging them to take advantage of everything that's happening outside," said Shanee Jenkins, VP of Social Responsibility and Strategic Partnerships.
"Let's Move!" was started by Former First Lady Michelle Obama in 2010 to fight the country's obesity problem.
