MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Next summer's Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee is expected to be a big financial boost for local businesses.
A workshop was held Monday evening to help business owners connect with opportunities to host DNC-related events. It took place at Flores Hall on the city's south side.
"Everyone knows it's coming, but not everyone knows how to get involved and what it's actually going to mean for them and for their business," said Lafayette Crump, VP of Diversity, Vend Accountability and Growth. "That's why we're really excited to be able to hold these events."
Organizers want the DNC to benefit the entire city, not just downtown Milwaukee. Although the workshop is over, there's a website with a lot of helpful information.
