Women's Solidarity March in Milwaukee Planned

The women's solidarity march in Milwaukee will start at the Riverwest Public House Cooperative.

Hundreds of people plan to walk for nearly a mile.

They will end at company brewing.

Organizers say the rhetoric of the past election cycle has insulted, demonized, and threatened thousands of minorities leaving communities hurting and scared.

They hope this movement sends a message to the incoming administration.

"I'm hoping that they can see that positive change can be brought from getting together. That everyone is working together and fighting for a cause that is going to lift people up and keep people protected and keep their rights protected,” said Nellie Vance, organizer.

Several people here in Milwaukee plan to drive or take buses to head to the march in DC tonight and tomorrow to make it in time on Saturday.
