Woman stabbed to death in domestic violence incident in Menomonee Falls

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A woman was fatally stabbed in Menomonee Falls Tuesday night, Sept. 1. 

Police were called for a domestic violence incident in the area of Menomonee Ave. and Pilgrim Road -- just north of Appleton Ave -- around 11:45 p.m.

Officers located the victim and live-saving measures were taken by the Menomonee Falls Fire Department, but were unsuccessful. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A male suspect, who police say knows the victim, was treated for injuries and taken into custody. 

There are no threats to the public.

An investigation is ongoing.
