Woman on bicycle hits trailer being pulled by car in Waukesha

A 42 year-old woman on bicycle ran into a trailer of a 74 year-old man in Waukesha on Westbound South 59. 

At noon today, the man was making a left turn from Westbound South 59 to go south on Center Rd. He failed to see an eastbound bicyclist traveling on South 59. The bicyclist ran into the trailer the 74 year old male driver was pulling. The female bicyclist is 42 years old and had a head injury with substantial bleeding. She was stabilized on the scene by the Waukesha Fire Department who requested Flight for Life. She was then transported to Froedert Hospital. Neither speed nor alcohol was a factor. The 74 year old will be cited for failure to yield the right of way. The condition of the bicyclist is not known.
