SUMNER TOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fort Atkinson Fire Department responded to a report of a snowmobile accident on Lake Koshkonong in the Town of Sumner near North Shore Rd. Sunday morning, Feb. 1. 

When crews arrived, they found a single snowmobile with a woman in her 40's, 500 yards offshore on frozen Lake Koshkonong. Fire and EMS crews had to use a utilized terrain vehicle (UTV) to get access to the woman and get her to shore. 

Due to her injuries and the locations, she was flown by UW Med Flight to a trauma center. 

According to crews, Highway 106 was closed near North Shore Rd. for about 30 minutes for an established landing zone. 

No other vehicles were involved in the incident. 

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating the crash.
