Woman injured in early Sunday shooting

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee woman was wounded in an early morning shooting Sunday on Milwaukee’s north side.   The Milwaukee Police are investigating the shooting that happened in the area of N 12^th Street and W Atkinson Avenue around 12:05 AM.   According to the Police, a 24-year-old woman got into a physical altercation with a known individual.   During the fight, the individual produced a firearm and shot the woman one time.   The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening wound.  As the investigation into the shooting continues, MPD officers are looking for the known suspect.
