MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A 54-year-old woman is dead following a stabbing near 26th and National on Sunday.

Authorities say the suspect walked into the police station around 1 p.m. saying she stabbed a woman around 2 a.m.

Police say the victim was found with multiple stab wounds and later died from her injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
