Woman Dies at Hospital after Firefighters Rescue Her from Inside Burning Home
LA CROSSE (WKBT) A 65-year-old La Crosse woman died from injuries she sustained from a house fire that she was found inside.
The fire's origin was determined to be at the south end of the main living room.
The call came in just after 11 Sunday night about a fire on the 2700 block of Hass Street. Besides a report of a fire, there was also a report about a person still inside the home.
Within minutes, La Crosse firefighters arrived on scene, started fighting the fire, went in to the home through a window, and rescued the female from inside.
The fire remains under investigation by the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Division.
