RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) – A Mount Pleasant woman was arrested early Monday morning after police say she was driving under the influence in a construction zone.
Authorities say it happened around 1:43 a.m. Police were called to the area near Interstate 94 and Highway 20. Officers spotted the car driving in the construction zone with a missing tire. The driver told police she was driving home from Milwaukee.
Police say the driver drove around barricades and hit one in order to get into the construction area.
