Woman arrested for OWI after crashing into Mount Pleasant police squad car

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) – A 50-year-old Racine woman was arrested on Thursday, April 22 after crashing into a police squad car on State Highway 20 around 2:20 a.m.
The police department says an officer was inside his squad car with the emergency lights activated when the car driven by the woman crashed into the back of the squad car.
The officer sustained minor injuries and the 50-year-old wasn’t hurt. She was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated - third offense.
The incident remains under investigation.
