Wisconsin's first Mochinut set to open in Glendale, blending American and Japanese flavors 🍩
GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Mochinut, the national franchise celebrated for its distinctive mochi donuts, is set to open its first location in the state in Glendale's Bayshore.
The donuts, an amalgamation of American donuts and Japanese mochi, are crafted from rice flour dough balls which are subsequently fried and glazed with assorted flavors.
The grand opening festivities, scheduled for Sunday, July 2, will begin at 11 a.m. and include giveaways of Mochinut merchandise and stickers. The new establishment is located adjacent to Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Bayshore.
Mochinut was established in 2020 in Cerritos, Calif. In addition to mochi donuts, their menu encompasses bubble, or boba, milk tea, Korean rice flour hot dogs and soft serve ice cream, with donuts being freshly made every 15 to 30 minutes.
Mary Mokwa, senior general manager of Bayshore, remarked in a Tuesday, June 27 press release, “We’re thrilled to bring Mochinut to the Bayshore community. Mochinut offers a fun, one-of-a-kind specialty dining experience to delight our guests.”
